Just starting your swimming journey, or getting back to swimming after some time away, then 'Getting Started Basics' Day 1 program is for you. We cover those early fears, run through good swim technique and the fundamentals of Propulsion & Drag, get you geared up for your pool sessions, and even get a swim fitness assessment completed as well as filming your swim technique - So a BIG day of learning.
Your Day 2 program gets straight into it. Although it's an easy swim, we're going to get you straight out there for your first Open Water Swim. We'll step you through the process gradually. If you're just starting Open Water then we'll prepare you with all you need to know right from our Day 2 sessions.
Even for the Intermediate and above swimmers, we have specific topics on open water conditions and hazards that will keep you knowledgeable and safe.
This will be one of your biggest days. This one is for all you beginners that have advanced from Day 1 and 2, but now we're really getting to all you Intermediate swimmers and those who have some good experience, but just lacking that detail that makes your swimming and training Great instead of just Good. Swim Technique, Swim Training, and loaded with swim training session to get you stronger and faster in the water.
So in Day 1 & 2 we loaded you up with lots of knowledge foundations, and some practical swimming skills, then in Day 3 we really nailed your technique and your swim training programs. Now, we get to put all that knowledge and skill into Open Water practice. We have specific tutorial sessions on open water conditions from Ocean, Rivers and Lakes, and of course Wild Swimming. Some bonus lessons there on Body Surfing for those keen.
Now the Technical lessons on Open Water Swimming. You see all those expert swimmers at your open water swim event, or the Pro & Elite athletes at your local Triathlon, well these are the skills and techniques they have mastered. We'll run through each in detail to get you moving towards expert level, and just through these skills you should be capable of taking minutes of your race event times.
Swim Competitions, or in fact any competition, can be daunting for most of us. Make that an Open Water event and they become a little more challenging. No lane ropes or markers, and no end to the pool to recover. How swim events work, course orientation, navigation techniques, pacing strategies, along with fast and safe water entry and exits, all make up the detail of this days training tutorials.
Our final Day 7 program takes you away from the technique about swimming, and now we focus in on some of the possible new goals you can set for yourself. Long distance swimming, Run Swim Run events, Triathlon goals, about advanced coaching options, and even get you considering some pure enjoyment swimming - Swim Holidays!

My name is Rodney Clark and I've been swimming in the ocean for as long as I can remember.
A fortunate upbringing is how I would see my younger life, living near the ocean, warm weather, having a swimming pool in the backyard of virtually every house in the street, swimming was just what we did. Competitive swimming started in school and progressed over time to high level triathlon competition. Although life takes us through stages, I've always managed to make my way back to the open water that I loved to swim and surf in.
I still compete in both Open Water Swim events, and Triathlons, but my real passion now is simply getting out in the ocean for a swim with a friend, or a swim group.
Weather training in the pool, or social swimming with our local swim group, I'm constantly meeting people interested in Open Water Swimming. Unlike me, they didn't grow up with salt and sand in their hair. So, our 7 Day Open Water Swimmer Tutorial program was born, drawing in expertise from expert swimmers and coaches we've created this program for beginner to intermediate swimmers, to get you from just starting, all the way to expert skills and techniques designed to take that extra minute, or 3 minutes, off your competition open water swim time.

7 Day Open Water Swimmer program is designed to take someone who knows nothing about Open Water Swimming, and with Beginner (can swim 500m in one session) or Intermediate swimming skills (can swim 1000m in one session), to being able to comfortably and confidently swim in the open water with social swimming groups right through to open water swimming events and competitive triathlon swims.
Our program is designed around flexibility of goals, and in your current experience. The very clear 7 Day program is all about progression, right from beginner to advanced. If you're a beginner, then the tutorial content right from the start will step you through all the foundations you need. If you're an intermediate, we can take you to that next step and goal you're chasing. Our 'Progression Model' video at the outset will guide you to where and how to start your journey.

Open Water conditions understanding, intermediate techniques of open water swim drafting, sighting skills, navigating and negotiating turning buoys, and pacing strategies, play a significant part in your triathlon swim success.
Our program will teach you all of those through multiple tutorial videos, key learning summaries, and quizzes to test your knowledge.
You don't need any open water experience at all before starting this 7 Day Swimmer Tutorial program.
We will teach you all you need to know to find a good swim location, find your swim group or swim buddies, assess the conditions on the day, and prepare your swim plan. From there our course can progress you right through to competition open water swimming and triathlon performance gains.
It is a strong requirement that your current swimming allows you to swim at least 500m unassisted in your local pool. In open water swimming the environment isn't as contained as your local pool, and the distance your need to swim in the open water to manage it safely can vary based on a number of condition factors, so having that minimum swim endurance base there is ideal.
If you're at that level and want to be capable of doing more... then our program is for you, we have a number of swim training plans and guidance included in the program to build you from 500m to 1000m, then to 2000m, and finally into some competitive swim development. So, if you're a little concerned about swim endurance now, we're here to support you in developing that.
YouTube is a fantastic resource with more free tutorials than any individual is capable of watching on improving your swim skills. We even produce free tutorials for open water swimmers, and swimmers in general, on YouTube!
But a side effect of only learning on YouTube is that you'll waste dozens of hours learning the same thing, searching for tutorials only to find partial answers and not having precise exercises designed to help you truly learn the skills you're after.
